Taylor, Jr. built his reputation on the belief that bourbon should be made without compromise — the Barrel Proof expression is the most direct statement of that conviction. Bottled straight from hand-selected barrels, uncut and unfiltered at over 125 proof, it carries the concentrated character of Mash Bill #1 as it ages in the century-old warehouses Taylor commissioned at what is now Buffalo Trace Distillery.

The hallmark here is butterscotch — rich, condensed, grounded in seasoned oak. Toffee and vanilla pudding on the nose, figs and tobacco on the palate, and a finish long enough to carry cinnamon and pink peppercorn well past the swallow. Proof varies batch to batch; what doesn't vary is the profile.
< style="margin: 0;">
SUGGESTED SERVES :

Neat

butterscotch and oak at their most concentrated — skip water if you want the full proof experience

Single large rock

opens the dried fruit and vanilla without diluting the mid-palate

Teaspoon of water

unlocks the floral notes and softens rye spice on the finish; don't overdo it or the oak flattens

127.2PF. & 127.3PF & 127.4PF.
